The DePauw Environmental Policy Project held a presentation and discussion Monday night to explain the group’s work at the Statehouse during the first part of the legislative session. Each student covered at least one issue represented in bills going through legislature. The group followed bills ranging from storage of manure to abortion in the House of Representatives and Senate. The presenters placed special emphasis on three issues which have inspired turmoil in the Statehouse — education, immigration and labor. DEPP plans to continue testifying on these topics in hopes of encouraging representatives to decide in their favor.
