A symbol for the white nationalist group was discovered drawn on a chalkboard in the men’s locker room in the Lilly Center by Public Safety, this Tuesday, Oct.3.

A campus-wide email was sent by Public Safety slightly before 4:00 p.m. notifying students, faculty, and staff that this symbol was reported and has then been erased. Two weeks ago a similar symbol was found on public streets on DePauw’s campus. They were found on Hannah, Indiana, Seminary and Anderson Streets.

Public Safety again refused to release the name of the organization, like other Universities, to prevent promoting the group’s agenda. The image drawn has three triangles within a larger triangle and is the same symbol on the stickers of the white nationalist group, Identity Evropa.

The Journal Courier reported that white-nationalist alt-right group, Identity Evropa, plastered posters and fliers around Purdue University on Sunday. Identity Evropa formed in 2016 and has begun a public campaign aimed at universities called “Project Siege” where the group hopes for the “beginning of a long-term cultural war of attrition against academia’s Cultural Marxist narrative,” according to their website.
