Last night, the DePauw Tiger baseball team took the field against the Millsaps College Majors in the first round of their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Tigers fell behind early, but were able to bounce back and defeat the Majors 7-2.

The team was lead by junior pitcher Hobs Donovan, who pitched a complete game for the second time in as many starts. Sophomore Zach Galyean also had a big game for DePauw offensively.

It was the Tigers' fourth victory in a row and fifth in six games.

With the victory, DePauw will stay in the winners bracket and face the No. 1 seed from the west, the Trinity Tigers. On the mound for DePauw will be last year's SCAC Pitcher of the Year, Elliot Ross.

The two teams have not met this year.

The game will be held at 7 p.m. CST tonight. Audio and video will be available through www.scac.org.
