With DePauw’s first fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, joining campus in 1845, Greek life has been a part of DePauw for over 170 years. Since then, DePauw has welcomed 22 Greek-affiliated organizations: 10 fraternities, six sororities, and four multicultural chapters. Now as the 2023 recruitment season comes to an end, the statistics regarding Greek Life on campus have shifted. Below are the number of students who accepted a bid from DePauw’s fraternities and sororities. Multicultural chapters are not included in this recap, as they do not use the same recruitment system. If you are interested in a multicultural chapter, email fslife@depauw.edu or go to the Multicultural Greek Council page on DePauw’s website for more information. Multicultural chapters include Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity, Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Omega Phi Beta Sorority, and Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority.
