1. COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at DePauw

In collaboration with Hendricks Regional Health, DePauw University has received formal approval from the Indiana Department of Public Health to be a COVID-19 on-campus vaccine provider. 

According to an email sent to students on March 22, the university is awaiting additional details about timeline, vaccine type, number of doses, and eligibility. Distribution will likely take place on Saturdays. 

2. Indiana Mask Mandate ending April 6

Gov. Eric Holcomb announced that the Indiana mask mandate will end April 6. Holcomb’s decision to end the mask mandate goes against advice of the Centers for Disease Control, but was pushed for by his Republican party, according to an article published in the IndyStar

According to the article, masks will remain mandatory in government buildings and healthcare facilities, as well as public schools. 

3. Indiana Residents Aged 16+ Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine

All Indiana residents aged 16 and older will be eligible to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccination starting March 31. Gov. Eric Holcomb made this decision on Tuesday, March 23 after being notified by the federal government that the state of Indiana will receive an increased supply of vaccine doses during the last week of March.

Gov. Holcomb also provided that, beginning the month of April, additional immunization clinics will be opened.
