1. Upcoming Black History Month Events

DePauw will be hosting several Black History Month events on Campus Labs. These include:

  • "Gospel Music, Black Masculinities and Queer Identity" with Dr. Alisha Jones on Wednesday, Feb. 10
  • “Amplifying, Understanding and Embracing the Black Voices of DePauw” with DePauw alumni on Wednesday, Feb. 10
  • “Systemic Racism and Health Disparities among Black Americans” with Dr. Tanjala Purnell on Tuesday, Feb. 16
  • “Persistent Inequities: Race and Universities” with Attorney Alicia Bell on Tuesday, Feb. 23
  • “Hubby Jenkins and The Cultural Legacies of the Great Migration” hosted by the English Department on Wednesday, Feb. 24 with the following “The Cultural Legacies of the Great Migration Symposium” on Thursday, Feb. 25
  • “The Civil Right Trail” with Deborah Douglas on Thursday, Feb. 25

2. Civic Fellows is Now Accepting Lateral Applications for Spring 2021

Students who have a passion for service, leadership and civic issues are encouraged to apply to be a Civic Fellow. Civic Fellows are expected to commit to the program during all years at DePauw, attend regular meetings, engage in group service and individual service.

The application can be found on the Google Form or on the Civic Fellows Instagram page.

3. COVID-19 Update

There are currently 14 positive cases reported to the university.
