1. Join President White in Student Campus Symposium on Strategic Planning Process on Feb. 18
President White and the Strategic Planning Steering Committee will be hosting a symposium entitled “Reimagining DePauw’s Future Together” on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. This symposium will review the strategic planning processes that are currently implemented, discuss an update on Phase II goals and have a community conversation about the objectives and activities presented.

2. Campus Activities Spring Social Plans
Starting Monday, Feb. 15, DePauw will offer social events and campus activities every day of the spring semester.
- Marvin’s Monday: A designated group of students and leaders will distribute Marvin’s Money each weekend. Marvin’s Money will be worth $5 toward any Marvin’s delivery order on the following Monday.
- Theme Tuesday: Competitions will be held between students every Tuesday of the semester for following the themes of the day, with two winners being announced each week. The calendar for the themes was already sent out via email on Feb. 5 and can also be found by emailing campusactivities@depauw.edu.
- Mid-Week Wednesday Happy Hours: Snacks will be served and in-person games will be held on Stewart Plaza from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- Trivia Thursday: Virtual games will be held with Zoom links posted on Campus Labs.
- Food Truck Friday: A different food truck will be parked each week between the Inn and Asbury from 10 p.m. to midnight.
- Saturday Sound: Student DJs will play at the new outdoor Beer Garden located around the Inn’s sunken garden area between two separate time slots of 6-8 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. The Beer Garden will be open both Friday and Saturday night.
- Scavenger Hunt Sunday: Directions and clues will be given out via Instagram. Prizes will be given out to students who find the hidden tickets.
- Weekend Movies: Two movie showings will be held at Ashley Square Cinema every Friday and Saturday using EventBrite for free movie tickets.
3. Indiana Vaccine Distribution
In December, both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for COVID-19 granted Emergency Use Approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since then, Gov. Eric Holcomb has publicized the first phases of the state’s distribution plan and Putnam County has begun administering the vaccine.
Due to a limited supply of the vaccines, the rollout has been phased, focusing on getting the individuals most at risk of contracting or dying from the virus vaccinated first.
