1. Weekend Events
On Friday, Oct 2 at 9 p.m. Chris Carter will be performing Mind Games virtually and students can register on CampusLabs. Carter reads minds, makes predictions, and can make light bulbs light up in people’s hands. Carter is a premier mentalist on the college circuit and has won multiple awards including the Campus Activities Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards for Entertainer of the Year, Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year, Best Male Performer, and Best Novelty Live Performer.
Students can also participate in a scavenger hunt on Friday, Oct. 2 that starts at Chris Carter’s Mind Games. Students are encouraged to watch his performance because he will be giving the first clues to tickets that are hidden across DePauw’s campus. Students who find tickets will receive a gift card for Eli’s Bookstore or Amazon.
2. Student Flu Shot Clinic
DePauw University highly encourages students to get their flu shots this year. Students can receive their free flu shot at one of the student flu shot clinics on campus. The first clinic is on Monday, Oct. 5 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m at the DePauw Health Center. The next one is on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the last one will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 2: 00 p.m. Students must make appointments in advance. 3. In-Person Dining Coming to Hoover
On Wednesday, Oct. 7 Hoover Hall will have in-person dining options for on-campus and commuting students. Students living on campus and commuting will receive an email with more information.
4.Student-Athlete Opening Ceremony
On Sunday, Oct 4 the Student-Athlete Opening Ceremony will be held virtually to celebrate DePauw University’s 23 NCAA D3 athletic teams. The ceremony will take place on the University’s YouTube Live at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
