The Tigers played their final home game of the regular season on Saturday, but has earned themselves another home game in the postseason.

Now 12-0 in the NCAC and 15-1 overall on the season, the Tigers can look forward to a home game on November 2nd for the semifinal game of the NCAC championship. During fall break, DePauw beat the College of Wooster (7-9, 6-6 NCAC) 4-0, Kenyon College (6-10, 6-6 NCAC) 1-0, Earlham College (2-14, 0-12 NCAC) 5-0 and Oberlin College (6-10, 3-9 NCAC) 6-0.

"It's a great advantage to be here and for the girls to play on their home field," head coach Gina Preston said. "To have that comfort and support and to be here, mentally it will be more relaxing and might give us an edge."

The four shutouts also extended the team's shutout streak to seven straight games without allowing a goal. Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Steele, after allowing eight goals in the season opener against nationally ranked opponent Lynchburg College, has allowed just five goals during the rest of the season.

"We're really limiting teams' opportunity and not giving up easy shots," Preston said. "We always talk about how that start ‘between the 25s' and not giving up goals and shots."

On the offensive end, junior Margaret Ellis leads not only the team in goals scored with 23, but also leads the NCAC in that category along with assists (8) and shots (130).

On Wednesday, the Tigers match up with last year's conference champion Wittenberg College (9-7, 7-5 NCAC). Then on Saturday, the team will face Denison University (14-1, 11-1 NCAC), of whom the Tigers beat 3-2 in overtime back on October 1st.
