Over the past week, players from DePauw’s soccer and field hockey programs were given end-of-season honors.

Senior midfielder Adrian Ables and junior forward Julian Gonzalez were named to the NCAA DIII Men’s All-Great Lakes Region Second Team by The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Gonzalez led the Tigers with nine goals and 22 points, followed by Ables, who totaled seven assists, six goals and 19 points on the season.

The two helped lead the Tigers (12-4-5) to their first Sweet 16 appearance in the program’s history.

The NSCAA also named senior defender Meredith Schoenfeld a first team selection on the NSCAA NCAA Division III Women’s All-Great Lakes Region team.

Schoenfeld helped lead a Tigers defense that allowed only 1.29 goals/game this season, which ultimately helped the program win its second NCAC Conference championship.

Senior midfielder/forward Grace Goodbarn was named a second team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Goodbarn had also recently been selected to be on the first team All-Great Lakes Regional Team.

Goodbarn totaled six goals and six assists, and played an important role in helping the Tigers win the NCAC Conference championship.
