Last Friday, on Sept. 20, the atmosphere on DePauw's campus buzzed with excitement as B4U Kpop Dance Group once again took the stage during Family Weekend. Known as a K-pop cover group with creative performances and precise choreography, B4U lived up to their reputation.
B4U's hard work and dedication were evident from the very first move until the last beat. The team flawlessly executed complex choreography from popular tracks like “Debut” by Kateyes, “Forever” by Baby Monster and “Not Today” by BTS. Alice Tran ‘26, PR chair and event coordinator of B4U, shared, “The preparation process for the Family Weekend Performance was fast, and of course, lots of fun!” For many, it was their first performance of the school year, and for the new members, it marked their debut with B4U, making this performance even more meaningful.
At the same time, nerves were high as everyone felt the pressure to deliver their best on stage. “We all knew we had to try our best. We had two weeks to finish three songs, which was a very short time. This was one of the biggest challenges we faced,” Tran said. Despite scheduling conflicts and the limited preparation time, all members eagerly attended practices and supported each other throughout the process.
B4U is also known for their eye-catching and creative outfits. This time, the team returned with a combination of blue and white, coloring Stewart Plaza while allowing each member to express their individual style.
When the final song ended and applause filled the space, it was clear that B4U's efforts had paid off. “We are really happy to see our club grow bigger every semester and our members enjoy their time at B4U,” Tran shared.
