A man was dumped at Putnam County Hospital at 9:50 PM on Sunday night after being shot. The man succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the Greencastle Police Department, and Putnam County Sheriff's responded within minutes initially believing there was an active shooter. The victim whose name has not been released, has been identified as a 33 year old black male.

The Indiana State Police (ISP)  is currently investigating the matter as a homicide. ISP Sergeant Joe Watts believes an argument preceded the shooting which took place in a vehicle. “We believe that the shooting occurred on I-70 Westbound near the Cloverdale exit.
