91.5 WGRE is proud to announce Big Sound Harbor: A Musical Collaboration Between Dulci Ellenberger & Holy Ghost Tent Revival for the 2016 Little 5 Concert. The event will take place on the Mason Hall Lawn on Friday, April 29 at 6:30, immediately following Street Sprints.

The core of the band, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, has played over 2,000 concerts in their 8 years together. In that time, they’ve established themselves as one of North Carolina’s most celebrated acts. Forming with a background in musical theatre and bluegrass, the group mixes in vocal harmonies and horns with a raucous stage presence and their high-energy performances have landed them concerts with several WGRE favorites including Shovels and Rope, Lake Street Dive, Pokey LaFarge, Dr Dog, and Robert Randolph & The Family Band. With three albums under their belt and another coming at the end of the year, the 6-piece rock-n-roll band has developed a cannon of originals with sounds that range from Southern Americana to New Orleans Jazz and have performed multiple concerts of Beck’s Midnite Vultures from cover to cover.

Dulci Ellenberger, a fellow Asheville musician, began collaborating with Holy Ghost Tent Revival two years ago to add a female voice to their male dominated arrangements. After releasing her debut album last year, the two groups started performing hometown shows under the moniker Big Sound Harbor, where they play songs from both band’s catalogs. WGRE’s concert will be their first show together outside of North Carolina.

While we are happy with our previous concerts this year with Destiny & Lady Land’s Finest Band and 800 lb Gorilla, we are confident this will be our best, danciest show yet. We will be playing music from both Holy Ghost Tent Revival and Dulci Ellenberger on heavy rotation until Friday.

Essential tracks: “Hammer Fell,” “Vipers Twist,” “My Heart is Yours,” “Telephone Wire,” “Trouble with the Truth,” “Getting Over Your Love.”
